After creating an IPO, and taking over ID&T (the Dutch creator of Tomorrowland, and Sensation) earlier this month, SFX Entertainment has recently acquired 3 more companies, keeping with their efforts to become more than just an event promoter, and to be involved with all aspects of the electronic music industry. In a press release, the company revealed that they had signed agreements to buy Arc90, Fame House and Tunezy. Chairman and CEO of SFX Entertainment, Robert F.X. Sillerman, also stated:
“These deals are consistent with our commitment to bring EMC fans around the world more of what they love, 365-days-a-year, and to be world-class in all our areas of focus.”
Arc90 is a “designer and builder of mobile and web applications, services and platforms”, Fame House offers digital/social media strategies as well as web design and development. The company has also worked with several notable electronic music artists, including Tiësto, Pretty Lights, and Richie Hawtin. Tunezy is an interesting platform that works to connect artists with their fans (by selling VIP experiences, meet-and-greets, etc.)
SFX Entertainment has become one of the largest players in the electronic music industry, and fans can surely expect to see them push electronic music culture to new levels.
