As summer quickly approaches, all we can think about here at RR is festival season. One festival in particular that cannot come soon enough is the one and only Shambhala. Nuzzled in the magical mountains of British Columbia, there is nothing quite like the feeling of returning home to the farm. This year will be the festival’s 21st anniversary and like previous years, they never disappoint with the lineup. Everyone from REZZ to Boombox Cartel to Justin Martin to CharlesTheFirst will be taking the stage come August 10-13. What stage you might ask? Well, we’re here to tell you that as well!
First up, we have The Pagoda Stage. The roster is jam-packed with the most bumpin housey house music to the deepest, grimiest, dubstep.
The Grove Stage stays true to its building blocks of brass, synths, and drums. The lineup on this stage is full of hidden gems who will be sure to take you by surprise.
One of the highlights of Shambhala Music Festival is the beautiful Salmo River. The Living Room Stage is the perfect place to dance by the water and connect with nature on a totally different level. This tropical paradise is easily the “coolest” stage at the festival.
The Amp Stage is easily known as “the party stage.” Not only is it the stage that starts playing music first, but it’s usually the last stage to close for the night. The lineup is pretty sick this year and we cannot wait to get down to some Space Jesus, Liquid Stranger, and Barclay Crenshaw.
If you know anything about Shamabha, it’s that The Village Stage is where you want to be! They have some fresh new exciting acts making their debut this year, along with the return of residents that are so good at holding this stage down. Staying true to its grimy drum & bass, jungle dubstep vibes, it’ll have everything you’re looking for in regards to bass music.
Last but certainly not least, is The Fractal Forest. This is easily known as the funkiest stage with the heaviest beats. People come here to wander around and discover friends, cool creatures, and dance barefoot all while enjoying the happiest of tunes. We hope to see you there this year – purchase tickets here!
