Sherm, Chicago’s own hype DJ/producer/entrepreneur, is hitting the decks again and this time teaming up with fellow Chicagoans, the dynamic duo PODS, for a spicy tech house single named “Madonna.” Released under the well-known Hood Politics, this track screams underground vibes with its persistent, simmering pulse and funky bass, not to mention the Daft Punk-esque vocal sample that just pulls you in.
Speaking of PODS, Mike Lelito and Dom Fortuna really made waves in 2022. Representing Chicago’s deep-rooted house culture, they’ve dropped some catchy tunes and shared the stage with big names like Flume, Tchami, Galantis, and Acraze. It’s been quite a year for them.
Now, back to Sherm. This guy has been around since 2014, making music, supporting heavyweights like Armin Van Buuren, and Galantis, and influencing Hood Politics Records as their A&R, bringing in artists like John Summit and Franky Wah.
And there’s more on his plate. Sherm will be moderating the official ADE Panel, “The Tech/House Boom in the US: What’s In It for You?” with some industry hotshots like DJ Susan and Kaysin on board. And let’s not forget, he’s performing at the Hood Politics & Bring The Kingdom showcase on October 21.
Diving into the podcast world, Sherm’s got “Sherm In The Booth,” featuring global acts and cementing his place in the electronic music scene. So, if you’re looking to keep up with the beats and vibes of Sherm and PODS, give them a follow on their socials.
