The rate of growth DJ’s can experience is endless, SI is great instance of just how quick it can be.The Holland-based duo, Sick Individuals, have been busy since our interview in mid-2014. Between then and now, they’ve collaborated with Axwell, produced a half dozen new originals and remixes, traveled the world, and more than doubled their fan base. So what could be next for the developing duo?
They’ll be taking this positive energy into their first North American tour, which is now underway, hitting metro-high points on the east and west coast. Sick Individuals’ direct support is JoeySuki, another dope Holland DJ whose productions pack a powerful kick.
Sick Individuals and JoeySuki took out time for the this two-part interview series. We touch on their new tour, new music, and much more. Check back on WRR for our upcoming interview with Joey Suki.

A ton has happened since our last interview! Starting off, how has the success of “I AM” affected you two?
A lot of more attention of course! Esspecially after “I AM” we had another Beatport #1 with Dannic called Blueprint. But we remained calm after these two explosions! :)We just kept on producing and performing world wide.
What was it like working with Axwell?
A dream come true! Actually the track was finished for 95% but it just needed some more tweaks. There was a really good vibe during the process of finishing this track, Axwell is a true perfectionist and so are we!
Is this your longest North America tour? What are you most excited about?
It is actually! Excited about every venue, yesterday we rocked Dagobert in Quebec and tonight New York, just heard that the NYC venue has been sold out!
Do either of you get nervous while performing?
Not nervous but a bit of adrenaline is always good to keep you sharp as a razor!
Can you describe that moment when the biggest crowd you’ve ever played for cheers you on?
Ecstatic! It’s hard to enjoy that moment for a while because we have to stay focused on our set but you can feel the energy surrounding the stage!
Any surprises planned during your live shows?
Ha you never know….! We will try out some exclusive tracks of course. But in the near future we have some wicked concepts that we want to use for our live-shows. Sick stuff for sure!
Why partner with JoeySuki for this tour? What’s the relationship like between SI and JoeySuki?
It’s a small country Holland! 🙂 He is a really laidback guy with an unique sound and good to have on tour! Check him out!
What releases are planned for 2014? What’s in store after the tour?
We have quite some Sick originals for you in store right after this tour and another huge remix! Next to that we will tour Australia, Asia, Europe and back to the States again pretty soon.
