Minutes ago, official word came through from the Bassnectar and Pretty Lights camps regarding how the two day lineup will shake out for the weekend extravaganza called Basslights. The gathering in Hampton, VA is a yearly pilgrimage for diehards of both fan bases, and with the days dwindling down (19 days but who’s counting) fans have been waiting on the edge of their seat to find out how the two nights of magic will be conducted.
Night one (Saturday) will read Exmag, Beats Antique, Pretty Lights, all leading up to Bassnectar tearing the mothership down with a closing set. Night two (Sunday) reads Eliot Lipp, Chromeo, Bassnectar, then Pretty Lights sending us off with a night of funk we’ll likely never forget. Changing it up from last year, it seems Lorin and Derek switched up closing spots as they have each year to keep it fresh. We certainly aren’t complaining.
If you haven’t already grabbed your ticket I regret to inform you that you missed the boat and they’re are all sold out. No need to worry however (and certainly don’t support scalpers on Stubhub), as there are fantastic fair-value sites like cashortrade.com or magnoliamiracle.com where fans put up face-value tickets. Just 19 more days until we touch down in the mothership, hope to see you all there!
