Nashville artist Dennis Mongan has returned for his second ever release under his freshly-started alias Sintra. Mongan went through the stages of becoming inspired at a music festival, to hitting the studio to strengthen his production skills, to now getting his ducks in a row as a serious artist. “Break,” was his debut – covered here at RaverRafting – and he now follows this up with “Boss.”
“”Boss” was the song that started it all. I was searching for a new direction and at the time was feeling inspired by the music I was hearing in the bass house scene. One day I sat down in the studio and told myself, “you know who you are, just enjoy the process and have fun with it”. I made “Boss” that day, the Sintra project was born shortly after.”

The track helps us understand the spectrum he is tackling as an artist in 2021, going the bass house path, but not necessarily being glued to it. He’s leaving some tasty elements in his wake, “Boss,” being a doozy of a tune. The single kicks off with some feisty energy, the tight-nit percussion and thumping basslines platforming the down-pitched, edgy club feel. The drop seeps in and shares some infectious technicality, filling your speakers with a metallic feel and a poppy rhythm that’s easy to follow.
First “Break,” now “Boss,” one can safely bet he has more in the chamber soon to reveal.
