Despite the city noise ordinance ending the show at promptly 10 pm, the crowd and the artists at Size In The Park kept the energy high and the beats on point. Four of the seven artists under music icon Steve Angello’s record label Size played the first night of the two day event in the middle of iconic Central Park on the Summerstage. This stop on Angello’s Size Matters tour was one different from all the rest for sure. This wasn’t a sold out stadium show, but rather a somewhat surreal experience with no more than 1,000 people happening in midst of the hustle and bustle of the big apple.
The British duo Third Party took the stage first. Fans were slowly filing in and this set was more of a warm-up for what was to come. Arno Coast and AN21 & Max Vangelli followed as the sun went down and the volume went up. The entire atmosphere changed when Angello took the stage opening with Swedish House Mafia’s Greyhound. Fog and lasers engulfed Rumsey’s Playfield for the next hour and half. Those who made it to the official after party at Pacha, NYC’s hotspot club modeled after Ibizia’s venue for house music, got to experience an even more intimate performance from Angello who played incredible mixes until the sun came up.
