In an unexpected fashion, the globally-recognized act Skrillex joined the English trance trio Above & Beyond last night in Los Angeles during their first acoustic show in the United States. Adding to what already was a dream-like night, fans were incredibly surprised when none other than Skrillex showed up on stage to play bass during “Black Room Boy” off of A&B’s album ‘Group Therapy’. With Skrillex having used to play in numerous punk bands, it’s nice to see him returning to his ‘roots’ per se, though an acoustic Above & Beyond show is quite a different atmosphere. The rest of the night featured other acoustic renditions of classic Above & Beyond and Oceanlab tracks, featuring other collaborators such as Zoe Johnston.
