With the dance music community still justifiably mourning the loss of Paul Bäumer, one of the members of The Bingo Players, Skrillex decided to pay tribute to Paul during his set at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on February 4th. “He is – He was a good buddy of mine”, Skrillex commented into the microphone when he stopped playing to address the crowd. He then ended his set with the fan-favourite Bingo Players track, “Cry Just A Little”, evoking an uplifting reaction from the crowd, and honouring Paul in the best way possible.
Maarten, the other half of The Bingo Players will be playing Remembrance Festival, with proceeds going towards cancer research in memory of Paul. Several other noteworthy performers (such as Dada Life, MAKJ, and Henry Fong) will also be playing the event, which is set to take place on March 27th in Miami. RIP Paul.
