Skrillex’s days as an “American Dubstep DJ” are find behind him, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t those tunes out during a live show. He’s everything he wants to be, regardless of future of past.
Sonny Moore’s philosophy to always keep evolving is ever more prevalent in his newest release with The Game, “El Chapo.” The track is straight-up a trap track, complete with gun-cocking sound effects, trumpet horns, and no drop. That’s right, none.
Without a doubt, the track is fire, but the release also marks a moment in time in which Skrillex crossed a new line, a line that was indeed totally him and not far-fetched, but absolutely unexpected.
