Whether you like it or not, Sonny Moore is one of the artists responsible for the explosion of electronic dance music in the states – specifically dubstep. It’s been three years since he released his “My Name Is Skrillex” EP and recently he hasn’t put out much music aside from his three track “Leaving” EP a while back. However, he has stayed relevant in the scene by pushing new artists through his label, OWSLA, working on his side project with Boys Noise, Dog Blood, and building a studio for up-and-coming producers in LA.
Tomorrow night Sonny will be airing an Essential Mix during Pete Tong’s Radio 1 broadcasted. I’m expecting to hear records that are old, new, and off of his label. Maybe we will even get some clips of new Skrillex and/or Dog Blood productions. I’m really interested in hearing the adventure he’ll be taking us on, don’t forget to tune in.
