Sloss Music and Arts Festival will be celebrating its third year in the July. The eclectic array of artists featured will reflect the spirit of Birmingham. One of the artists who not only I, but the EDM scene in Birmingham is looking forward to the most is none other than Cashmere Cat.
The Norwegian artist who is also known as Magnus August Høiberg has been in the game for awhile, but has yet to grace the “Magic City” with his presence. Even without a presence in the state his following is without a doubt abundant in Birmingham.
Two weeks ago Cashmere Cat’s debut studio album 9 was released. The new album features a lot of guest spots from Kehlani, Kacy Hill, Ariana Grande, Ty Dolla $ign, and even The Weeknd. Straying slightly from Cashmere Cat’s unique sound the album leans in the direction of mainstream, but gives a new side of his unique abilities. Cashmere Cat continues to grow in new and inventive ways, and gives his fans a sense that he will always try something new.
You will be able to catch Cashmere Cat on Sunday, July 16th at Sloss Music and Arts Festival in Birmingham, AL.
