One month after debuting their newest single, Australian based producers Slumberjack have released an official music video to accompany it. The bass heavy track comes as their first official release of 2016. Chock-full of synths and hard hitting claps, Slumberjack has outdone themselves with this latest release. Collaborating with music icon and fellow Aussie, Daniel Johns has recently been dabbling in the electronic realm. The catchy lyrics and Johns’ gifted voice fuse perfectly with the electronic duo’s talented production capabilities. Released on Diplo’s Mad Decent label, it’s rumored that this is the first off of an EP that is expected to come sometime later this year. Slumberjack is slated to perform Saturday, July 30th at Lollapalooza.
Accompanying their single comes an equally intriguing music video. The music video follows four girls who seemingly become lost in the internet. Mixed in with some clips of the girls receiving electro-shock therapy, it’s clear there’s a bigger message being sent here. In a world where the internet is a major part of our lives, it’s obvious to understand how one could become ‘lost’ in it and even have an addiction problem as the music video portrays.
Slumberjack have been rising through the scene the past couple years, having several tracks on Soundcloud with well over a million plays. Although based in Australia, Slumberjack will be making several stops across the US in the coming months. They’ll be destroying the decks at Lollapalooza come late July and then finish up at Hard Summer the day after. You can catch Slumberjack at any of the locations posted below.
