This weeks lineup is packed with dance hits and a fresh EP from some well known friends. If you’re looking for a pop hit do keep on repeat, don’t leave! This is your source. Unwind and get ready to be lost in talented vocals and mesmerizing lyrics— this is Snap, Crackle, Pop!
Disco Fries – DF EP
Kicking us off is Disco Fries with their diverse new album DF. You can expect to find a wide array of tracks with each one leaving a different feeling. The dance EP is one that definitely gets funky at times and challenges the status quo on pop right now!
Thoreau – No Conversation (feat. MNYS)
Thoreau is one artist that I’ve been following for a little while now. It’s been amazing getting to witness his sound evolve and watch him grow with each release he’s been putting out. “No Conversation” is one of his catchiest originals yet with vocals that will surely find their way into your head. The melodic drop is the perfect touch to get lost in as you vibe out to the vocal chops and strong structure.
James Carter – These Days (feat. Zoe Maxwell)
James Carter is another artist that has been on my radar for some time, being an avid dance fan. “These Days” is another pop hit that leaves you wanting more, as his music always does. His ear for sifting through vocalists couldn’t be better as Zoe Maxwell lays down a top line that runs parallel with his solid production. I’m excited to see where 2018 takes the growing artist!
Giiants – Small Talk
Next up are two tracks from what is probably my favorite independent dance label currently. Tipsy Records has been on point lately as they’ve been showcasing their powerhouse abilities to push release after release. This time around, Giiants helps out by delivering “Small Talk”, a slower deep house tune with a large sound. As always, you’ll find yourself mesmerized by addicting vocal melodies and perfect production.
Big Fish – Moves (feat. Mike Gomes)
The other track from the growing label is “Moves” by Big Fish. This dance tune is one that demonstrates how to take an audience by surprise. You’ll be caught up in the emotional verses and builds before a complete change of feeling hits you at the drop with an upbeat percussion pattern and whipping wobble sounds take over. This tune is one that will definitely take aim at the current pop trends!
JVLY – Void (feat. SARAI)
Closing as out this week is JVLY with “Void”. I usually like to throw in a track to help unwind that still features strong vocals, as this is a vocal centered article after all! You’ll definitely get caught up in this one as the emotion bleeds from each and every word sung. You’ll also be hit by a major surprise at the end when the song does a complete 180 and gets choppy!
