Kevin Chapman, aka SNBRN has been a large fiery ball of success since his mighty rise in 2014. Massive tracks and remixes added to a ridiculous amount of the DJ’s repertoire, and of course the man himself being scattered across to globe on festival lineups and tours. “California,” last summers smash hit that was hard to miss from any set, and “Raindrops” that solidified SNBRN into so many electronic lovers graces and playlists were some of biggest stepping stones into stardom. And of course the smash “Gangsta Walk” which he earned rights to the legendary late, great Hip-hop vocal master Nate Dogg’s unreleased vocals on. Not quite a year old yet, that track alone has amassed over 1.6 million plays.
It all started with a bootleg of Leave The World Behind I made for this summer that took a life of its own. After playing it out I really wanted to make it into a cover and release it. I could think of no one else to crush this harder than Kaleena, and she did. The original is a favorite of mine and I’m honored to have covered it.
SNBRN now graces us with a beautiful hit to bring some sunshine into our fall season. Inspired from Swedish House Mafia’s iconic hit of the same title, SNBRN recruits Kaleena Zanders, the songstress of the massive “Califonia” track. This sun-baked shuffle track is a slow burn, bringing in some slight synths and piano, along with with Kaleena peacefully rendering the lyrics into an easy listening drop that’ll have you closing your eyes and smiling while you groove to it. Throw in some horns and deep drums, and it’ll have you dancing around your room before you know what has happened. Give the track a listen and add it to your playlist, or buy it here, and check out his tour dates below.
