The Social Festival will be returning for its fifth year in Kent at the end of September this year and will welcome Nic Fanciulli in his hometown of Maidstone. The Kent County Showground will be transformed into a techno and house paradise with four arenas including those hosted by RESISTANCE and Fabric on the 29th and 30th of September. ‘We couldn’t have made it 5 years without each and every one of you… expect some big surprises, some even bigger production and a huge lineup. I can’t wait to show you what we have in store – let’s celebrate the birthday together,’ Nic Fanciulli said.
One of the luminaries performing at The Social Festival will be German techno DJ Helena Hauff, a rising talent in the festival space. Taking over The Barn hosted by Fabric on Saturday 30th September, Helena Hauff will be showing off her extensive talent and experience behind the decks after being based in Hamburg. After being known as producing music that’s ‘stripped down’, it’s clear that Hauff’s industrial sound is something that has come from being educated in the subject of electronic music. 2013 saw the release of her debut EP Actio Reacto and her success stemmed from there with a number of releases with a range of different labels.
After Return to Disorder, Shatter Cone and Lex Tertia, A Tape shot Helena Hauff to fame and saw tracks like ‘c45p’ show a different, lighter side to Helena Hauff. A side that let her be welcomed into the festival industry and play events like The Social Festival.
