On January 17th Keys N Krates had their laptop stolen before they had the chance to perform at Avalon in Los Angeles and surprisingly they’re handling the situation very positively. They’ve reported, via their Facebook statement below, that their forthcoming single was lost due to the theft, which is extremely disappointing to hear. Over the last few years there have been several reports of stolen equipment at dance music shows and festivals. We hate learning about this news, regardless, we wish Keys N Krates the best in retrieving “Understand Why”.
Read Keys N Krates’ Facebook statement:
“L.A. Fans and friends! As a lot of you know, we were not able to play our set at Avalon last night due to our laptops being stolen from our dressing room right before our set. We don’t really care about the laptops (although some of those ableton sessions we lost… Fuck).. The worst part about the whole thing was disappointing you guys. We were so so excited to rock out with y’all and to do it at Avalon cause that room is awesome and so are you guys. We will be back as soon as possible to make this show up for both you guys and us! To whom ever stole our laptops. Could ya just collect all and save the “understand why” ableton session and send it to us at get@keysnkrates.com ? That’s our next single and we worked really hard on that, and it’s be sweet to not have to remake it.. cause we had those kicks and 808s sounding hard as hell. You can keep our passports.” – Keys N Krates via Facebook
