Every summer solstice, Sonic Bloom brings one of West Coast’s most unique transformative festivals to the mountains of Colorado. The first phase of the lineup reveals diverse talent from dubstep, jambands, house, and trance, including the first-ever Gigantic Cheese Biscuits, for an unforgettable weekend at Hummingbird Ranch.
The 12th annual Sonic Bloom: The Unified Field will return to Spanish Peaks Country, Colorado on June 15-18th. The 4-day festival is nestled between the panoramic Rocky Mountains with a breathtaking creek that surrounds open campsites in luscious fields and shady trees. The homegrown Colorado vibes flow with the festival founder Jamie Janover’s belief of The Unified Field Theory, a quantum physics theory that explains how all forces of nature are connected to each other and resonate to one point of singularity, thus leading to the unity of human expression and consciousness. Using nature, art, and education, Sonic Bloom was founded upon these principles to focus beyond just the music and to celebrate an inspiring community of visionary artists, speakers, and workshops that offer the attendees the complete and revitalizing transformative experience.
Each year, The Unified Field brings together diverse musicians, artists, and performers for a memorable weekend to “inspire open channels of creativity for everyone involved, especially the audience.” The interactive workshops are educational and powerful, covering a range of humanitarian and community building topics on social activism, consciousness, permaculture, multiculturalism, and sustainability. Classes include world-renowned teachers merging talents in communities of yoga, hula hooping, songwriting, and other performance arts. Last year, visionary artists like Android Jones and art communities like Apex Collective transformed psychedelic realms to life with live paintings, galleries and immersive art installations.
Joining the initial lineup is the first-ever performance of Gigantic Cheese Biscuits, made up of jam musicians from Big Gigantic, The String Cheese Incident, EOTO, and The Disco Biscuits. With that excitement, the headliners welcome The Polish Ambassador, the world’s funkiest diplomat, The Floozies, the future funk band, Claude Von Stroke, the Dirtybird house master, and Ott, the psychedelic jamtronica producer.
The lineup is stacked with big names and local, underground talent, ranging from dubstep and trap favorites like Minnesota, Space Jesus, Unlimited Gravity, Bleep Bloop, Joker, and Yheti, to the ambient and experimental sounds of Desert Dwellers, Random Rab, Kalya Scintilla, Haywyre, Bogtrotter, and David Starfire. There’s a balance of house and tech-heads bringing Dirtybird artists like Barclay Crenshaw, Bluetech, and the special Desert Hearts Showcase with Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porkchop. Even more with jam and electro-funk bands like Zilla, Dirtwire, and Electric Love Machine, this lineup aimed to impress and it’s hard to believe that this list is only the first reveal.
We’re stoked for the second lineup phase that will unveil even more musicians, visual artists, and live performers. General Admission tickets begins at $211 and are available here.
