Australian producer SoundNet uploaded a comical tutorial to his SoundCloud titled “Big Room House Tutorial” hosted by none other than Martin SoundNet Guetta. He covers all the key aspects of popular big room tracks that are pouring out of speakers as of late. His formula is pretty spot on, but it’s quit obvious he’s mocking the commercial sound.
Steps include getting “the shitty big kick that many big room producers seem to use, cranking the tempo to 128, using a hollow wooden percussion sample, use triplets, throw a shit load of reverb on the ‘Pryda snare’ sound, add some other samples here and there to cover the generic nature of this music.”
He also warns not to worry if the melody doesn’t flow well because “wasted white girls will dance to anything.” His congratulatory message at the end is my favorite line. SoundNet’s bio on his Facebook says he fought a bear at the age of 3, will beat you at MarioKart 64 and has support from “humans.” The photo of David Guetta and Martin Garrix completes the trolling. No disrespect to either of them, but SoundNet, your troll level will soon reach the height of deadmau5’s if you keep it up.
