Philly native Des McMahon now claims DC as his home nest. McMahon regularly opens for major headliners in the capital city and has become an installment at Echostage – my new favorite DC venue. He is on the bill for Glow/ Steez Promo’s DC Mega featuring Nero, Bro Safari, KillSonik, Delta Heavy, Doorly, my homie Knoxbox and more. Des will also be headlining the second GlowU campus party ( ‘Nightmare on Main Street‘) the following evening at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
Aside from his live performances, the district staple is anticipating the release of his ‘Ginger Problems’ EP (stream here) set to drop on T&A Records tomorrow, 10/30. This particular compilation that he put together for us truly spans across the entire spectrum of electronic sound. Transcendent buildups with tremendous peaks and valleys – a mix that will take you from hip thrusting head bobs to a state of soothing relaxation as it caps off.
