First Look at the New Spring Awakening Grounds [Video]

Fear not Midwest dance squad:

Many have wondered if this year’s Spring Awakening will live up to the party they’ve grown accustomed to in Chicago’s historic Soldier Field. Well, event producers React Presents hear you, and they’ve released this virtual video tour of the new venue, Addams Park, to assure you that everything about their fifth anniversary show has been turned way up.

Featuring four stages and a silent disco, the festival footprint this year will feel familiar to regular fest-goers (read: now with ferris wheel!) I’d be lying if I didn’t say the potential for sound bleed is high looking at the two main stages. I’d hate to be Steve Aoki facing-off against deadmau5’s signature, booming basslines, but that’s not a bad problem to have. We’ll have to wait and.. hear.

*Know before you go: the main entrance is on Loomis, but VIP entry + Uber dropoff/pickup is on 15th St.

One thing is certain: this year’s event is going to be L I T, plan accordingly.
