Spring Awakening Announces Initial Lineup

Four stages, almost 50 headliners, and 75,000 dance music fans; for a second year festival, Spring Awakening isn’t doing too bad.

A few days ago, React Productions announced the initial line-up for the three day festival, billed as “Chicago’s Premiere EDM Festival.” We already knew the festival had a pair of quality headliners in Bassnectar and Calvin Harris, and this announcement clues us into nearly 50 additional A-listers that will take the stage come June.

Once again taking place at Soldier Field – the home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears – the festival has plenty of firepower in their initial announcement, with a wide array of genres represented. Veteran names like Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold and ATB are complimented by newer powerhouses like Zeds Dead, Nicky Romero, and Porter Robinson. Other highlights include drumstep don Figure and trap upstarts Flosstradamus, and more underrated names like Minnesota and Savoy.
