Spring Awakening Stage Spotlight: Anjunadeep

Spring Awakening festival announced its 2017 lineup in February and left the dance community craving the Chicago based festival. With artists like Alesso, Afrojack, Marshmello, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, ZHU, Excision, and Diplo; we already know this year is going to be the biggest yet. The festival also announced a remix competition for ZHU’s “Nightcrawler” in addition to a silent disco that will take place. More information on both of those can be found here. Also announced with the lineup comes information regarding the curated stages that will take place across the festival’s three days. Some of the stages include Trance Arena, Body Language, Sunday School, Bass Kitchen, and the famed Anjunadeep stage.

All of these stages will undoubtedly be bringing their own spice to Spring Awakening with a diverse mix of electronic genres. Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep label has been generating steam all throughout the electronic world and its had a curated stage at festivals like NYC’s Electric Zoo. Anjunadeep will thankfully be arriving at Spring Awakening festival this year and its bringing along a star studded lineup. Anjunadeep favorites Lane 8, Yotto, Moon Boots, Rufus Du Sol, and Jody Wisternoff will all be performing on Saturday, June 10th.

Anjunadeep is the sister label of Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats and was founded in 2005. It specializes in delivering some of the best deep house in all of the land. Its roster is composed of some of the best deep house artists in the electronic world. Lane 8, Yotto, and Moon Boots all performed at Electric Zoo this past year and absolutely destroyed their performances. If this year’s Anjunadeep stage is anything like Electric Zoo’s then we know we’re in for a world of serenity.
