In taking a page from HARD Events’ Holy Ship, Coachella has announced that they will be leaving Indio and departing on two tours of the Caribbean this December. The S.S. Coachella will leave from Ft. Lauderdale and set sail on a 3-day voyage to the Bahama’s on December 16 and a 4-day voyage to Jamaica December 19. Some of the announced lineup will include Pulp, Hot Chip, Girl Talk, Yeasayer, Sleigh Bells and James Murphy.
Goldenvoice (the promoter behind Coachella) has selected the Celebrity Silhouette for the S.S. Coachella. It has room for over 2,800 hipsters, a real grass field and a small theatre for intimate performances.
