Sometimes one show just isn’t enough. On July 30, Steve Aoki announced that he will host a new weekly radio show on SiriusXM’s BPM channel titled “Steve Aoki’s Remix Rewind”. His current show, “Aoki’s House”, is a weekly one-hour house mix with a similar format to Hardwell’s “Hardwell On Air” and Nicky Romero’s “Protocol Radio”.
Aoki’s new show takes a completely different turn because it involves fan interaction and playing remix songs rather than debuting the latest original tracks. Listeners will be called upon to vote for their favorite remixes, and the top voted songs will be presented as a countdown.
With so many song remixes in the EDM world, this show’s format lets EDM lovers grab hold of the hottest and most unique remixes on a weekly basis. The show’s debut date is still being decided, but is expected to begin before the end of summer. The show is scheduled for Sunday nights at 9PM and fans will be able to vote at siriusxm.com/remixrewind.
