Ever since the Steve Aoki and Linkin Park’s collaboration “A Light That Never Comes” was previewed a month ago at Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo, fans all over the world have been trying to get their hands on this epic track. Now you can by playing Linkin Park’s free Facebook game, “LP Recharge”.
The game allows you to play as either male or female, and your character is dropped into a 3D world in ruins. Your mission is to release the humans from the hybrids by breaking down their energy nodes. Once you disarm all energy nodes in a level, you earn a star. Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park had a hand in developing much of the graphics and game play. For a Facebook game, it’s extremely detailed and intricate with the band members as characters in an action/strategy game setting. Play here to unlock the track.
After the track is unlocked it will be available for streaming on Xbox Music for 14 days. It’s interesting to see how artists are coming up with different ways to interact with their fans, and this is a fun and unique way to promote their new album, as well as Steve Aoki’s Aokify America Tour.
