Steve James is an up and coming house producer building a name for himself creating completely unique sounds out of familiar songs. His perspective on ZHU’s latest future house track, “Faded”, is a far cry from the original but in the land of remixes – that’s exactly what we want. In this remix, Steve James redefines the once a dark and funky languid beat into something bright and heady that is equally as gratifying.
At the ripe age of only 16 years young, this Pittsburg native is proving he is wise beyond his years. His understanding of house music as a genre and the creativity involved in conceiving a remix that is truly distinguishable from the original really shines on this track. His clever introduction of an infectious piano melody and catchy synth to the track adds a provocative element to the overall sound that is simply indispensable to progressive house.
