Coming in hot on April 13th, Strange Society Productions is bringing their debut party to New York City. It is headlined by the elusive underground producer Mickman, alongside Tsimba, Deez, and Smigonaut on their first tour together, with Mickman bringing along his Funktion One rig to ensure that sound is being pumped out with maximum fidelity. Strange Society took it a step further, and are featuring support from regional heavyweights Pluto Era, Malakai, and Rasp-5, making this show an absolute priority for audiophiles in the northeastern US.
NYC residents Derrick Owoeye and Nicholas Stanton banded together to bring to life a vision that is years in the making. In their own words, “Strange Society’s mission is to captivate and immerse revelers in a multi-sensory art experience, thus providing a symbiosis of concert-level production and interactive entertainment.” The entire event was built from the ground up, starting with the scouting of the most proper venue, to the specifics of the visual production and supporting artists. Both Mr. Owoeye and Mr. Stanton are longtime, regular consumers of underground music and grass-roots events, and have been carefully noting the ins and outs of event production all in effort to smooth out the difficulties and espouse on the successes of contemporary production companies.
The show is taking place at the Paper Box, in Brooklyn NY, with doors at 8pm and music at 9pm. Just as any proper party should, the whole event will stretch well into the early morning hours, and will feature a slew of accompanying visual artists taking over several rooms to keep the vibe steady throughout the entire venue. With excitement through the roof and expectations at the high water mark, the Strange Society crew is guaranteed to deliver a refreshingly professional and fan-first concert experience!
