BTSM’s label shares SubDocta’s new Almost Cool EP, a five-track collection that brings together collaborations and solo material in a steady, dance-focused format.
The project begins with “Compliments,” a house-leaning track shaped around a warm groove and a simple, retro feel. The song eases into the tone of the EP rather than rushing forward. “Delulu,” made with Mport, shifts into a wobblier bass direction with loose, bending textures. “Bodies” changes the pace again through a drum & bass structure that keeps the movement sharp but not overwhelming.
The final two tracks — “Poison Ivy” with Wreckno and “Girls” with Kumarion — wrap the project by tying together lighter and quicker rhythms. Each track brings its own angle, keeping the emphasis on clean patterns and clear movement.
Across the EP, no idea overstays its welcome. Each track holds a distinct identity without breaking the overall flow, making the release easy to move through whether or not you’re familiar with SubDocta’s catalog.
Almost Cool adds another chapter to SubDocta’s growing body of work as he continues releasing new material and touring regularly.
