Philadelphia-based bass heavyweight Subtronics first emerged onto the scene from the depths of riddim and heavy dubstep. Now Jesse Kardon makes his return with a newly launched label and subsequent EP Cyclops Army.
Cyclops Army is a four-track EP that encapsulates everything that is right in riddim at the current moment. The genre that is best described as rhythmic dubstep has seen an unbelievable explosion in popularity over the last 2 years, and Subtronics has been one of the artists leading the charge. It looks like 2019 is set to be his year.
Speaking on the project, he says: “The Cyclops Army EP is all of my favorite unreleased slappers that I have been refining over the past year. The goal is to blend heavy dubstep and left field bass music while pushing boundaries and doing something unique. The EP will be released on my new label Cyclops Recordings. The label name and EP title are a tribute to the day-ones in my fan group Cyclops Army.’’
