Pretty Lights Music producer SuperVision has been relatively quiet since his last release, “Telescopic”, back in 2011. I, and many others, had eagerly been awaiting new music from the Dallas, Texas native ever since, due to the unique and futuristic sound he managed to create on that EP. Today we have been graced with a new 6-song EP from SuperVision entitled “Telekinetic”.
This EP is true to SuperVision’s electro hip-hop style, but also is extremely innovative and uses many unique production techniques. The entire EP is rich with hard drums, fills, builds, drops, heavy sub-bass, and texturized synth-bass. The sampling is perfect as well. The combination of all this leads to an extremely futuristic and groovy EP that, personally, will be on repeat for me for a long time.
“My intention with my music, is to make futuristic electronic hip hop beats. The process I use comes from the school of thought from early hip hop, more specifically the late 80’s early 90’s – digging up old records and chopping them up to make something entirely new. That period influenced my beat making more than any. I then give my tracks that powerful electronic build out because it’s fun, great for the dance floor, and I love doing it. – SuperVision
