These days it seems like it’s young fresh talent that’s consistently pushing the envelope of the music industry and driving the masses to the dance floor. New Jersey natives James and Will Saulsky are no exception to this. At only 18 and 21 years young, respectively, these two brothers make up the super talented dubstep duo, Synchronice.
After years on the grind they’ve finally released their debut EP “Countdown” on Firepower records – brainchild of the bass master himself, Datsik and it is a must listen for all the wobble fiends out there. The first of this four track compilation starts out with “The Sentence”, an ominous bass heavy pure dubstep track with a stark contrast between it’s airy string breaks and abysmal drops backed by a menacing voice over repeating “And the sentence is death“.
If you’re still alive after that bass massacre, their remix of “Machete” – Datsik continues the death threats with sinister crackles and hard-hitting rap lyrics over dark synth-y grinds. In the EP’s title single, “Countdown”, they ease up the intensity with an upbeat piano key muddled in with their signature synth and bass medley. Then on the finishing track, “This & That” they team up with PRYSM for a hype departure that leaves fans begging for more. Purchase Synchronice’s “Countdown” EP on Beatport or iTunes.
