We can basically thank Germany’s Bionic Men for the creation of modern electronic music. Prodigies Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider met, and founded the band in the 70’s while studying at Remscheid. But like most robotic machinery, sometimes parts have be interchanged. Schneider left the band in 2008 to pursue a solo career.
Regardless, their artistic vision to fuse a synergy between art and machine are considered contemporary to this day. They revolutionized modern music with their fearless use of synths, experimental avant-garde sounds, unique instruments, and robotic voices often filtered through a vocoder.
Not only has their style influenced most of our favorite musicians, but their songs have been sampled countlessly over the decades. Now that you’re aware of their musical brilliance, Genießen Sie bitte & Tech This Out!
