It was on a tour in 2015 that Thandi Phoenix and Rudimental struck up a friendship that ultimately led to their collaboration on this song. You can hear the shared influences and sound on “My Way” as Rudimental’s smooth and energetic bass-line perfectly complements the head-strong and confident vocal that Thandi belts out.
Words like this clearly come from the heart and mean a great deal to the empowered singer-songwriter. Her message of being yourself and not letting other people get to you is something that we could all use a little more of.
