Low Steppa, one of the several aliases of the bass master Will Bailey, drops a remix of Australian house dj duo The Aston Shuffle’s track “Tear It Down.” Vocally, Low Steppa leaves “Tear It Down” relatively untouched (unlike some other recently dropped remixes), but he strips down other house elements and makes it soulful and sexy. Adding just enough bass, Low Steppa’s bass and garage past shine through but this track doesn’t lose its house flare.
With a slower tempo, the best word to describe this track is simply groovy. It drops, but flows in a way that its better suited for the darkness of a dance floor than a festival (no festi-drops here). It’s funky and silvery, and perfect as a dance-floor track or blasted on your head phones while you’re looking at the stars or even just your ceiling – it will inspire, relax, and get you bouncing.
