Reported yesterday by the Saugerties Times, The Hudson Project will not be returning this year. Many first year festivals encounter bumps in the road and last year’s Hudson Project was no exception. An overwhelming security and police force, unorganized volunteers, and a chaotic cancelation to the final day were a just few of the shortcomings on display to attendees. It’s a shame, because the people at MCP put together one of our favorite lineups of the entire summer last year.
“The Hudson Project is on hold for the moment. It’s not coming back this year.”
-Michael Lang, Representative of Winston Farms
Maybe it’s for the best, as The Hudson Project can now take this year to regroup and make the necessary improvements to realize it’s huge potential. At this time we aren’t sure if another festival will be taking its place on the farm, but what this does however, is bust the door wide open for another NY/NJ fest to step up to the plate this summer. *cough Camp Bisco please come back cough*
