Mashup duo The Jane Doze, announced today that they’re abandoning their music industry careers to start production full time. I applaud them for taking the step. Our generation seems more apt for a life of unplanned adventure and roller coaster emotion rather than cubicle life and board meetings.

?2.5 years ago, we met through our day jobs in the music industry. 2 years ago we released our first track as The Jane Doze. 1.5 years ago we performed our first show outside of NYC. 1 year ago we released our debut mixtape GIRLS TALK. 11 months ago you helped us raise enough money to bring us to SXSW, where we shared a bill with A-Trak and Diplo. 3 months ago we had the honor of performing at Invisible Children’s MOVE:DC Global Dance Night in front of 10,000 people.
Today, we begin our journey as full time Doze. No more days jobs, just music. We couldn’t have taken this leap without you, and we can’t wait for you to come along with us on the next part of our journey.
This is only the beginning….
