The Librarian is an act that’s more than meets the eye. Not only is she the face behind this alias, but she’s also the co-founder and music programmer for Bass Coast Festival. She clearly knows how to bring a balance to the hustle in her life – this feel of balance being something that is felt through her music as well.
miss u EP is made up of 2 tracks and give a great introduction to the artist if you’ve never been exposed to the sound up to this point.
“Impulse,” opens up the journey with a bit of mystery starting off, layer by layer, more sonic sections reveal themselves. Soon, a dark trap percussion is backing up minimal wubs and wobbles. The design here is curious and keeps the listener wondering what will come next.
Track “Vengeance,” brings up the energy a bit more and throws in a old school vibe for good measure. Catchy and carrying some common energy from the track it just followed, “miss you,” is the juice that make this EP feel like an extended journey.
Having been supported names liked Billboard, Resident Advisor, EDM.com and the like, plus keeping busy with various other projects, The Liberian represents a unique corner of the electronic music space.
