Known for making music that people can use for free across YouTube, TheFatRat is also an established producer. He flexes his creative skills this week by releasing a new single on Universal Music, “MAYDAY.”
A dreamy collaboration with increasingly popuar vocalist Laura Brehm, with previous releases on Monstercat, mau5trap, Heroic and more, TheFatRat teased his fans into a frenzy by unveiling hints about the forthcoming track via the means of mysterious video uploads. His production here is light, melodic yet powerfully expressive; he continues to improve with each fresh sound. Discussing working on the track, Laura has to say:
This is one of my favorite songs that I’ve worked on to date. It’s a nice balance of pop and EDM, and the production is on point. I love songs that are uplifting, spacey and allow you to dream as you listen to it, and this one definitely does that for me.
