There’s a very select group of artists in this world who own such a distinct sound, that you can almost instantly identify a track of theirs after clicking play. Thriftworks is one of these artists. Carving out a place for himself in the creamy land of psychedelic bass, the man who goes by a human form name of Jake Atlas is set to make huge strides in 2016 with the impending release of his Low Speed High Drag EP.
Giving us a sampling of whats to come next month, “Juanito’s Patience” is a tried and true Thriftworks offering. Calming…eerie…soothing…mesmerizing, all adjectives appropriate for this track. Jake’s trademark slowed down, distorted vocals perfectly compliment the silky smooth vibes in this four minute piece.
Set for release in mid-February, this track should only heighten anticipation for what Thriftworks has in store for us next. Keep your eyes and ears peeled, there’s bound to be big news coming soon. In addition to the impending release of the EP, a corresponding tour will be on the way as well. Stay tuned.
