Welcome back to another week of Throwback Thursday. Last week we featured Deadmau5’s “Ghosts N Stuff” on a special Welcome to October edition of Throwback Thursday. This week we’re kicking things back into full gear with a classic throwback to an artist who holds a special place in our heart, Sander Van Doorn. The Dutch wizard has long been a staple in the electronic world since he broke into the scene during the mid 2000’s. His musical style has varied over the years delving into genres like tech-house, electro house, and our personal favorite Sander style, trance.
“Love Is Darkness” is the 2011 collaboration released with frequent trance vocalist, Carol Lee. Lush vocals, upbeat trance synths, and an electro feel quickly skyrocketed this track to the top of the trance genre in 2011. It’s an unmatched style that feels like a crossover of sounds from Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond, making it just that much better.
