This past weekend, Thundercat performed live at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and brought out all of his friends to support. The openers included Louis Cole, Channel Tres, and Flying Lotus, but the special guests didn’t stop there. Haim, Steve Lacy, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kamasi Washington also joined Thundercat during his headlining performance.
The evening started with an interesting yet very fun set by multi-instrumentalist Louis Cole, who performed on stage with a keyboard, a set of drums, and many other instruments. Then Compton’s own, Channel Tres graced the stage with a live performance backed with backup dancers. Flying Lotus performed a dark yet eclectic DJ set that got the crowd hyped for the headliner. Then came Thundercat who blessed the Los Angeles crowd with 2 hours of hits, packed with face melting bass solos and special guests.
