“Twerk” music has been making a statement lately and who better than Tim Gunter to give it a go. His name may sound familiar because a few weeks ago I was astonished by a massive 808 rework he created of Jaymes Young’s “What Is Love” cover. I come from a hip-hop background, and this new rise in 105 bpm “twerk music” has really caught my ear. So, I took a vocal sample from Travis Porter’s “Bring It Back” and created a hook. I then added plenty of 808 drums, bass, and rhythmic synths and thus “Funds Up” was born. Perfect for twerkin’ at any occasion.
