Just recently, TomorrowWorld unveiled its marvelous lineup for 2015. Having already announced their Phase I and II headliners to include Bassnectar, The Chainsmokers, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Get Real, Martin Garrix, Thomas Jack, and more, the Atlanta-based festival decided to go all out this year and enlist an A-list supporting cast along with a fresh batch of finishing headliners.
Tchami, DJ Snake, Cashmere Cat, Pete Tong, Joseph Capriati, and Yves V saw themselves join the larger names, but the names in the smaller print – the undercard acts – are truly something to admire. We want to break down the undercards to highlight into five categories: trance, tropical house, underground, bass, and the future genre representatives.
Trance
For the trance picks, TomorrowWorld looks to make sure that the trance family is at ease. Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, and Paul van Dyk led the way in the headliner announcement, and Ferry Corsten had locked in his own Full On stage in an earlier announcement this year. For the undercards, Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate, Orjan Nilsen, Mark Sixma and more. The trance family is a tight nit community, but they have always played an integral role in the development and expansion of EDM into the American market. Tomorrowland has always supported trance artists, and ID&T looks to continue that in America at TomorrowWorld.
Tropical House
Oh tropical house. The genre that saw its explosion last year with artists like Kygo and Thomas Jack blazing the path in front of them. Last year, Kygo saw his TomorrowWorld debut when he filled in for Avicii, and Thomas Jack will be making his debut this year with his own tropical house stage that was announced with his mix earlier this month. From the undercards, it would not be surprising if Bakermat, Matoma, Sam Feldt, Klingande, and even JackLNDN made their way alongside the Australian tropical don. This being the first tropical house stage at TomorrowWorld, the festival really brought a pack of vital acts that have made the scene what it is today and is sure to be one of the festival’s most anticipated stages.
Underground
For those looking to deter from the main stage, the Phase I and II headliner announcements definitely put the underground fans at ease. Both Get Real, Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones were confirmed, and now the legendary Pete Tong joins them to lead those mainstream-averse with the All Gone Pete Tong stage. Looking at the smaller names, Justin Martin definitely stands out as an underground undercard favorite as well as Shiba San who has seen a meteoric rise recently. Dirtybird protege Justin Jay sees himself heading down to Georgia in addition to other favorites Patrick Topping, Ida Engberg, Kidnap Kid, Claptone, and more.
Bass
Bass heads are having a hay day with this lineup. Excision, Adventure Club, Flux Pavilion, DJ Snake, Bassnectar, Borgore, and Bro Safari dominated the headliners, and they will have plenty of support from this most recent announcement. To name a few, Dotcom, ETC! ETC!, Keys N Krates, Lookas, Ookay, NGHTMRE, Party Favor, Milo & Otis, Skellism, Slander, Snails, and more are about to shake the Chattahoochee Hills when they take over TomorrowWorld. Every genre is fairly represented in TomorrowWorld’s full lineup, but the bass community probably has the deepest array of talent. TomorrowWorld better have upgraded their speakers for what’s about to touchdown this year.
Futrure Genre
Finally, we come to the wild card, future genre representatives. Future Classics, the Australian label that spawned Flume, is curating their own stage this year, and it only made sense that this year saw a solid understanding of the future scene. Cashmere Cat was most recently announced amongst the headliners to lead the movements. Amongst the undercards, Giraffage, Wave Racer, Touch Sensitive, and other will take over future bass duties. Its necessary to mention the future house representation with Tchami and Kayliox to inaugurate the festival’s first-ever future house stage.
This year’s TomorrowWorld lineup is unparalleled, so don’t miss out on getting your tickets here.
