If you’re familiar with the TV show “The Office” or just pop-culture, at all, chances are you’ve heard of Ricky Gervais. A talented comedian and actor, Gervais also has some impressive musical skills, as displayed by a “David Brent Guitar Tutorial” video he made in character as his “Office” alter-ego. The song is an original by Gervais, singing about the town of Slough that “Office” takes place in. While this song was most likely made in a comedic fashion, electronic artist Toro y Moi, AKA Chaz Bundick, took this lighthearted tune “Slough” and made his own relaxing, chillwave-esque cover of it. He takes the simple melodies of Gervais’ original and turns it into a full-on emotional anthem. Check it out below and watch Gervais’ original as well.
