The UK’s king of trap and bass, TroyBoi, will bring his dynamic live show to Brooklyn on Friday October 6th. TroyBoi is currently touring in support of his new album, Left Is Right, which dropped on August 25th. And what better place to get a little buck wild than New York’s new, spacious general admission venue, Brooklyn Steel.
If you’ve never seen TroyBoi live, you’re in for a treat. This is an artist who puts his entire mind, body and soul in each performance. He provides vocals in addition to production and moves about the stage, engaging the crowd with incredibly high energy.
A highlight from Left Is Right is “What You Know,” a haunting tune with a skulking rhythm that TroyBoi has been teasing in advance of the album by dropping it at festival sets throughout the summer. You can also expect to hear “Sensei,” a somewhat lighter track (are those flutes we hear?) yet with a solid hip hop groove and bounce.
Joining TroyBoi on this stop of the tour are YehMe2 (Josh Young, previously of Flosstradamus), trap producer Louis Futon and Australia’s SLUMBERJACK. This is a not-to-be-missed throwdown, so snap up those tickets while you still can.
