If it’s new future bass you crave, look no further than Tsimba, a bass music producer on the rise in the northeastern. Last week we were introduced to Tsimba’s knack for percussion via his collab, “Two Terms” with Brightside off The Joker EP but today the spotlight is all on Tsimba’s new Proper Element EP.
In just four tracks Tsimba showcases an impressive array of his rhythmic stylings, and sparks real intrigue as to what lies ahead for this blossoming producer. “Chiuta” cranks the EP into full gear with a jungle safari meets space exploration blast of future bass. Next up the title track smoothly dials in a slightly heavier hip-hop feel, but in the most ambient way possible. Take a few listens to peel back and digest all the majestic layers of this gem.
“Old School,” appropriately named, stirs up whirlwind of…you guessed it nostalgic OG dubstep feels, but with his own filthy, fresh spin. “Bling Blong” rounds out the EP with a trap-fueled, supersensory listening experience.
The Proper Element EP is available now for streaming via Funkadelphia Recordings.
