Turntable.fm has announced that they will be partnering with TheKollection.com and SoSimpull.com for what is potentially the first ever online music festival, if you will. The event will play host to over 20 dj’s and will go something like this:
DECEMBER 7th, 8pm EST
Featured Artists:
I would consider the “headliners” to be those in BOLD. Kap Slap and 3LAU are really releasing some hot productions as of late.
Setup
Multiple Rooms – All 5 DJ spots in each room will be occupied by featured artists.
“VIP” Artists will get extended playtime
*Those who attempt to hop on stage will be reprimanded ONCE before being booted
How To Get A Spot
Make sure to visit turntable.fm early and enter the room to assure yourself a spot. If you can’t find the portal on turntable I suggest you check 3LAU’s facebook. He usually does a pretty good job of marketing these kinds of things.
This is a great event for turntable as well as every one of these artists. While this may not have the effect of some live show, it will be worth the FREE price of attendance. Hats off to Kollection and So Simpull for putting an event like this together.
Here is a bit from an official release:
All 5 DJ spots, in each room, will be occupied by the artists named above. Each room will have 2 or 3 “Special Guest/VIP” artists DJ-ing, as well as a couple of “Up-and-coming” artists DJ-ing alongside them. This ensures that not one room will be maxed out, while the other rooms are empty. Up-and-coming artists will rotate out, while Special Guest/VIP artists will get extended playtime (unless otherwise noted). If you try to get up on stage and you are not an artist, then you will be warned not to step up – as this is purely to show artists’ our appreciation towards their work – and because there will be a lineup we adhere to. If you attempt to step up again, you shall be booted from the room.
