tyDi first debuted this larger-than-life mash-up for his Valentine’s Day show in Seattle, and it received such good feedback he decided to put it up on his Soundcloud this morning.
Personally, any time I see anything by one of my favorite punk bands I usually feel two emotions. 1) Nostalgia kicks in and I’m psyched someone has re-created my favorite song 2) I’m very skeptical about how well they’ve done to recreate an old favorite, seldom do they do as well as the original. tyDi has gone well above and beyond my expectations for this song, by combining his original song “a picture never taken” with Blink-182’s “I Miss You” for a phenomenal result. The piano melody carries listeners through the vocals, into gentle percussion that builds into an incredible symphonic sound.
