tyDi and Bella Renee Release Indie Dance Pop Anthem, ‘New Normal’

Australian-based tyDi has seen, heard, and done it all. As a songwriter, composer, and producer mega-threat, he has toured the world and undoubtably made his mark in the music world. While the COVID-19 pandemic has sent everyone home-bound, tyDi has recruited vocalist Bella Renee for an anthemic indie dance pop single.

The single, titled “New Normal,” is a response to the global pandemic and the toll its taken on tyDi as a musician and a human being. It’s been nearly 6 months since the world stood still. “New Normal” reminds us that, although we may feel alone in our feelings of isolation, we are not truly alone. Along with that, it represents the impact the pandemic had on tyDi’s motivation and creativity.

When creating the song with Bella Renee, tyDi recognized how he’s in a love / hate relationship with the songs he releases. All of his music conveys a story, and he wasn’t sure what he wanted this one to be about. Then, he had a lightbulb go off and based “New Normal” off of how hard it is to write a song during the pandemic. In Inception fashion, “New Normal” is meta with self-awareness.

“New Normal” is Bella Renee’s first official release on Spotify. Together, she and tyDi effortless blend the worlds of indie pop and electronic music. Bella Renee’s angelic vocals convey the passionate lyricism as tyDi’s feel-good, euphoric soundscapes guide the song through vibey house drops. The single is accompanied by an official lyric video that is a must watch.
